I think i’m turning Japanese, I think I’m turning Japanese, I really think so…

Here is what the Japanese like…FREAKIN’ EVERYTHING. We’re halfway through our vacation already (:( ) and i can not begin to describe the massive amounts of everything here. Jessi and Jason just got back from their honeymoon at Disney and they were telling us about the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT, or “Pavilion of Never Ending Crap” as it were. They said they hadn’t realized that the Japanese were such consumers, and Patrick and I were all like “Oh yeah” I mean, just think about Hello Kitty. But i don’t think either of us realized to what scale they consume. i mean. SHEEZAMAGEEZA!!!!! We’re currently in Osaka staying with Michelle and yesterday we made it down to Namba and Shinsaibashi. There is a path of shopping (think open air mall, like a shopping arcade, there are no doors or anything, but the roof is covered) more than a mile long. it went from one end of our map to the other, and to get there, you walked through an underground shopping center easily the same length. (well, you could walk topside on the street, but holy freakin’ hell is it hot and humid here right now)

That being said, the shopping is obviously really great here, it’s very very easy to part with money. We ran into the never ending strip o’ shopping yesterday because we came down looking for certain shopping district, the one that sells food prep stuff, and everything else. It was really cool. Scads of dishes, chopsticks and small things like that. Takoyaki friers, (Takoyaki and Okanomiyaki are Osaka specialties) Ovens, and other large things too. We picked up some Noren, (on sale!) and Patrick got the Male Sanrio bento box. Patrick had Takoyaki for lunch, (tasty, apparently) and i ate at a fast food place that shall remain nameless.

Today we are off to Kyoto with Michelle, tomorrow i’m trying to convince them to go to an amusement park, i don’t know how that’s going to go over though… So, i’m going to get ready to go and wake Patrick up. More later, with pics and all that good stuff

P.S. yesterday, we found the Porn vending Machine.
